+1 on replacing exhaust line. You KNOW you want a glasspack. |

Hey Dan, I got a couple of turbo mufflers I plan on deep sixing that I’ll give yeah, with those babies plumbed in you won’t hear any dang pinging. I’ll even toss in a few hearing protection foam thingies just to make sure there will be no more pinging. By the way, relays arrived today, and I just finished installing them to run the electric choke, and o2 sensor. Thanks. Bill |

Nope. Haven't driven the Dart more than about 10 miles since last July, and the current plan is to fix the timing chain and such and sell it. I have too many cars, want to focus on my '62, and I'm not willing to have a "garage monument" that could be providing someone else with smiles on the road. |

Dan, Did the mystery ping go away with the new timing chain install? |

With a lack of response to the work you have done I would have to supect the camshaft being warn, or and probably the rings have lost there tention ( compression rings). Jess |

No worn cam, no low compression -- it was exhaust restriction was doing it. |
