Great weekend of racing. The car ran really well and had a couple really good races. I got CJ on saturday in the final by .007 and had a few really good races against Allen, Wendy and I always like a bye to the finals too. Thanks to the Howards and everyone out there, and to my dad too....he made a couple good calls on time's. Will post some videos when I find my camera's A/V cord.

Yes, Aric Erickson pretty much showed everyone "how to do it" by winning on both days.
CJ was runner-up on Saturday and Allen Dutra was Sunday's runner-up.

Me, I was a "first round looser" on both days but the good news, I made some changes to the car and it is getting a little better... no more high end valve float and better, "stick it and drive & go" shift points.

Guzzi Mark worked hard to get the 125 MPH record but could not do it... 124.xx was the best he could do.
13 cars total... more to come.

Great time, fantastic friends,,,,trip with Seamour was a perfect travelling buddy.I did run a 124.61 into a 5-6 mph headwind.Since getting back I have done some research and figure I was spraying about a 55 shot and was doing a couple things wrong.SWELL,now I gotta go for it in Woodburn.Guzzi Mark

After a couple of passes in the test and tune... We figured the trans was just not working... Will be doipping off the car to the Trans shop for the fix...Since he ( Trans shop owner... Also fellow racer, he saw first hand what was taking place... He says ..."I WILL MAKE IT RIGHT!" That's my reputation out there. )

So some time the first part if next week the car will go to him for the removal, repair and replace of the transmission...

Maybe then we will see what the car can do...

Other than that had a great time with the Killer Bees... Was great to see folks

We ate well! :D

The Samoa Cookhouse was excellent, as always! Friday evening fare.

Then Saturday evening, open air dining at Andrew and Jessica's. I ate lightly. Only three helpings and a big chunk of Killer Bee cake.

Sunday evening Bruce and Wendy brought up the Cafe Marina. With a bit of arm twisting, we got Edd to come with us. His knee is giving him trouble.
With the Bjerklund clan, Linda, and I, we took up two large tables outside looking over the harbor. Excellent seafood!

We make the stop on the way home to eat at the Port Hole in Gold Beach. Lot's of tasty seafood there as well!

On the way down we stopped at the Crazy Norwegians in Port Orford. Good stuff!

So there you have it. I gauge my racing vacations by the quality of the food. I didn't get chased out of any camps, but I'll get my fix soon enough at Woodburn. What's for dinner Dave? :D

Post subject:  Samoa was great

the weather was great at Samoa...especially after the 100 plus weather at home. The Howards were wonderful hosts as usual..even handing out special T Shirts and key rings. We love u guys. Congrats to Aric, winner of both races! Also to CJ and Allen who were runner up. ALL THE POINTS are posted on the Killer Bee site. I have over 100 pictures..so will be another day or so before posted. Top 5 Killer Bees: Allen Dutra 95, CJ Stoakes 84, Aric Erickson 82, Andrew Howard 76, Doug Dutra 55. We enjoyed seeing everyone. Edd was under the weather...but still right in the middle of everything. Glad to have our car at the track. It did fine...but I had a little trouble  Will get it figured out.
