Yes great times had by all! We ended up with 9 cars today and we got both races in. One 1/4 mile Mason Dixon race, and the Clay city 1/8 mile make up.

Yours truly, Rick Covalt, won the first race with Rob Simmons R/U. The 1/8 mile race was won by Brian Droschak and Jack Everhardt III R/U

It was nice to meet Angie Simmons and let her run my truck on Saturday. She will be in contention for Rookie of the year honors. David Shank drove my truck today and also won some rounds, so he too may be a candidate for ROY. Knoxville may decide it all!! :D :D

We had beautiful (to some people) days with hot weather with no rain! The racing went very fast for the most part, and they worked us in 2 times in every round that everyone else ran, to get 2 races in.

Pictures to come later. Thank you to everyone for coming out and especially to those who helped with the food and pulling the ladders, tearing down the canopies, loading.....etc!

I have the points all figured up.... Drum roll please....

Ryan still leads it, but I gained 10 points on him.
Jackie III took the third spot from his Dad, but didn't catch me... yet...

Ryan has now given up 30 points to the Over 5 Rule and Jackie and I have both given up 20.

Ryan: 255-30=225
Rob: 215-20=195
Jack III: 190-20=170
Jack Jr.: 155
Rick: 150

Jack Jr. has only won rounds at 4 races, so Knoxville is all open points for him. Rick has now won races at 5 events, so will have to start losing points at Knoxville.

All three of us will be running nitrous at Knoxville to earn 20 points in our quest to catch Ryan!!

This is a great race toward the end! Luv it!! :D

Angie had the lead for Rookie of the Year until David Shank won that round in the second race today. Congratulations to David Shank as the new Rookie leader!! :D

Congrats to All the Race Winners and Record setters.

Fun times. I got to help Brian Shakedown his Newest acquisition to the BD Motorsports Stable, THe California Special. Once sorted it should be a low 13 second Car.

Had fun Driving.

Thanks for the Rent a racer as well as the roadside fuel pump install.

Greg

Wait....
What is this "Over 5 "rule?
I thought the results of a person's best 5 races were counted. What is this point subtraction thingie?
Just curious.

You have it right. If you win points in more than 5 races then they get thrown out for your annual total. Rob keeps talley on all of them for history sake and lifetime totals. If someone has subtracted numbers that just means they won rounds in more than 5 races. You keep the 5 best.

Here are some of the photos from the Mason Dixon Race. This is the second time this year that Jack Jr. and I won races on the same day! One more chance at Knoxville Jack!
