Thanks guys, looking forward to racing with you guys as well. It's just easier to post pictures on FABO, so most of my comments and photos are over there. But I will keep posting here as well. I got the Wilwood spindles yesterday, I will find out how they are going to work tomorrow. Happy Thanksgiving Slanters! |

Since it's not an A Body, I placed the thread in the Mopar Racer Forum. Here is a link to the thread. https://www.forabodiesonly.com/mopar/th ... lt.442249/ |

Lots of stuff working, not much finished. I did get the hood mounted. Found front brake pads and O-rings for the calipers. Trying decide if I want to build an aluminum trans as my main gearbox. Liberty will do steel bushings front and rear so it will be like the race case. Either a 2.66 or 2.47 first gear set. 30 lbs lighter than a steel setup. I have an old DC aluminum tailshaft housing for either front case I run.

Sorry for not keeping up on my postings. I joined Facebook this week so I could post on some Pro Stock and Don Hardy groups. I have gotten some good info from some folks so I guess it will be worth it. This week I almost finished the mating of the Lakewood Bell Housing to the block. I have gotten the Flywheel, thanks Will, surfaced and mounted for fit. Using a McLeod disk and a DC Green cover PP. I will be using a Hyd throw out bearing. Just need to fit the starter and it will be done. Here is the complete mock-up. Next to roll all this under the frame rails and trim the mid-plate and start constructing the front motor mounts.

Greg no idea on weight. I know they added weight when it was a Hemi 4 speed car to run Pro Stock in the late 70's. I have found the weight plates on the rear valance. The driver then was around 230 lbs, I am at 180 so there is 50 lbs! I have aircraft scales at work but I can't get them out of the plant right now. I know it put it on the jack stands like I would do my Cuda and the Colt was WAY different. I lifted up on the front and the dang thing started to rotate. So I had to rethink that set up. I have read on the interweb about the 4 foot 2x4 and a bathroom scale. But till I mount the engine and get it all together it's not much point. Shooting for 2250 with driver. Thanks Guys |

Working on engine and bellhousing placement. Took the front end off for the first time, that is sweet to work on stuff. Mid plate is proving to be a challenge. Found 92 pounds of lead under the fuel cell. So there is a 10th, right? Little bits at a time.
