I just talked to Ryan and he asked about 1/8 mile record runs at a race where we have both 1/8 and 1/4 mile races. The way it works is that you have to have record and back up runs on timing slips that are only for the 1/8 mile. That would obviously include the 1/8 mile race, and could include time trials for the 1/8 mile if they are timed for the 1/8 mile only. I believe in the past that even when the slant race was 1/8 mile the track left the quarter mile clocks on. If you want those time trials to count for records you need to make sure the track understands they need switch their timing to the 1/8 mile mode. In the past at Clay City they would run the pro and super pro races and time trials on the 1/8 mile. If that's what they are doing this year you can enter one of those classes and your runs would count for records as long as they are only timed for the 1/8 mile. That could include runs on either Saturday or Sunday. I realize you guys are probably not glued to your computers so if somebody sees this try to pass it on to anyone interested in 1/8 mile records.

Got it. Thank you.

Too late for tonight. Charlie has left for the evening.

Bobby and Dallas said the same: if we had asked they could have changed the timing for us to just 1/8 mile.

Charlie plans to run nitrous again Sunday when we have the 1/8 mile race. Hopefully he will get it then.

We have 13 on the ladder. Charlie has carb issues, giving the Kentucky Poser the bye in the first round.
