I went out to Renegade Race Cars this evening. Craig and I pondered the surgery on them front fenders... He’s gonna run some numbers and get back with me.

Not as pretty, but lots of the early FXers didn't even bother to move the front wells forward, just cut the front up to suit.
Allowed a bit of extra room for headers.
And no, there aren't only six stacks in the photo. The left rear pair're hiding behind the right front ones. Bashful, no doubt.

That’s cool! 8)

The price tag to move the rear axle up is too much for me, so we are just going to nudge the front up a little for now. He shortened the front axle this morning and should have it rolling and ready for pick up this week.

Axle is in. Just needs to finish the Vega steering box mounting and replace the original lower radiator support that is rusted.

Then it’ll come home for me to take a few years getting some kind of drivetrain installed...

Steering box and lower radiator support are done. Just needs to finish the drag link for the steering.

Then it’s back home for the drivetrain installation fabrication modification frustration...

The leaf spring won't hit the steering box?

It’s probably further away than it appears from this angle.

Now,... when I put that big block in there it may get close...
