Put that basket on ebay! It may pay for your roll cage. Especially with a 50 year old broom! |

Rob, put up a parts for sale ad on FABO. One member over there parted out a 64 Cuda, and was getting requests for just about everything. Even small things. I got some parts for my Valiant, and I thought he had reasonable prices. |

Awesome Rob, she's clearanced for subframe connectors for You already!!! I bought a 170&PB trans out of a '62 just like that, which I had to remove Myself, they transported it from the barn on forks & bent the propshaft. I was afraid to even get under it, it was sagging mid ship ~4", luckily I brought the DeWalt reciprocating saw.....lol....looks like You've found the perfect successor to TR I, looking forward to the transformation!! Thanks Jim. I’ll post updates from time to time. I had to roll it out of the shop for now while we pull the drivetrain and wiring out of a Camry to put in Pollywog (MR2). We learned a couple things on ToadRacer that should make ToadRacer II even more betterer…. |

Adam and I met up and looked the car over last week. Nothing horrendously scary, so we will be moving forward with the build soon(ish)... It's in the shop and ready for disassembly to begin. |

I'll continue to post updates here. I likely won't have time to really dig into it until I get back from WyoTech next spring/summer. I might sneak over just a little during my week breaks in December and March. There is some rust in the front frame rails and transmission crossmember areas... and we will need as much engine bay room as we can get, so... The plan is to stub the front and use something like a Mustang II front suspension. We talked to David Watkins to get some guidance on that so as not to fail tech. We will be cutting the firewall and moving the engine back a healthy bit for better weight distribution. We will cut the roof off and re-use the Pig Pen Fabrications roll cage from the original ToadRacer as well as the 8.8 differential. There weren't very many other parts we could re-use, unfortunately. Depending on how much time we dedicate to the build, we may shoot for a debut at Road Atlanta 2026. More to follow... |
