With standard needles Holleys usually want 5 to 7 psi.

I would Y or T the line to seapate regulators, it will be less hassle in the end.

8 seems high to me. My Top Gun and NOS systems ran at 5. However, always read and follow all label directions. At 8 psi they must be using a lot of nitrous to keep it from going fuel rich.
The jets for a 25 shot are 24 for N2O and 22 for fuel. A 100 shot is 52 and 41...

What shot are you running, Norm?

What would cause a fuel regulator to decrease the pressure being delivered without being adjusted.. ? :?

When I was fiddling with the nitrous install before Clay City I had the Aeromotive regulator set at 3- 3.5 PSI. I didn't change anything at all. I had disconnected the fuel lines, but put them back just like they were before. The car runs the same as before... But now the gauge at the regulator only reads about 1-1.5 PSI. Maybe the gauge went bad..?

Do you have a liquid filled gauge?

Rob I run a 100 shot and that is the same pill numbers I use. My fuel pressure is 8.5 when running nitrous and 6.5 without nitrous.

I think it is a liquid filled gauge. I will check.

No 100 shot for me... Yet!

I fiddled some more with the nitrous install last night. I won't go into the drama of how many times I re-did things... I wound up having to reverse the Holley Double Pumper fuel line to mount the solenoids.

The fuel pressure gauge IS liquid filled. When I removed it to move some things around the bubble came up to the gauge face. Once I get things buttoned up again I will see what's up with the pressure regulator or gauge...

I plan to have the nitrous ready to go for Mason-Dixon in the event we do get to run the 1/8 mile race from Sunday's rained out Clay City race.

IF you are going to use a liquid filled gauge make sure the plug is pulled out of it so it is vented. Also note that the car sitting in the sun will alter what the gauge reads. Even better, throw it away and get a standard gauge, especially if it is one of those little gauges that goes in the line by the carb.

I had a very nice Autometer liquid filled when I started. It was always all over the place. Even after I found the vent plug and took it out it would still vary 1 to 2 psi with the temperature changes. I threw it away.

Good to know. Thanks. The entire fuel system came from the Ruster Duster. I just moved it over to this car. I figured the liquid filled type were better. I have a second one I got for the new nitrous line. I must have re-done things 4-5 times last night and finally gave up about 11:30 re-thinking things for the 6th time...

The most important thing is make sure the solenoids are mounted in the right direction. Go ahead, ask me how I know this.

Also, don't start the motor for 5-10 minutes after you test the solenoids. Once you're satisfied everything is plumbed right, do not turn on the bottle until the motor is running. Yeah, ask me that too.

"IN" is coming "IN" from the source... not going "IN" to the engine,... right...?

I think I'm gonna call you before I test anything...

I never open the bottle valve, unless the engine is running. That way if a solenoid is leaking, you can hear the rpm change as you open the valve.

Yep. I have a nice Mopar air filter that bounced off the ceiling in my shop just for that reason.

Yeah,... When I asked Dennis about selling his nitrous stuff he told me you had dibs... :x
Were you looking for another kit?? Or did you already have one??

I have a Sportsman fogger that was setup for a sb mopar that's been stored away for years in the garage. Do you have a healthy race converter for a slant 904?
