Yeah. Me too. Very happy to finish the season this way.

Now to dig into the various winter projects.

We all need to start working on ToadRacer again...

Did you only get the one pass Rob?

My other pass was a 7.53 @ 90.88.

I need to re-design the gas pedal. I have to push my toe so far down to reach WOT that my calf cramps up. It’s hard to be consistent when you’re crying in pain.

As usual, my racing plans have not always gone as expected…

I mothballed the Challenger along with everything else in preparation for my move to NC…

The final race of the 2021 season is coming up at London, KY and Adam (Pig Pen) wants to race ToadRacer, so…..

We’re gonna take the Challenger back out of mothballs for one last hoorah before going back into storage for a few years….

Hopefully I’ll be able to run a 7.34 or quicker to re-set Norm Foster’s A/Alcohol record… More to follow.

Post subject:  Re: Rob's 1981 Dodge Challenger

I pulled the Challenger out of the corner of the shop and started getting it put back together for London.

The thermostat housing I bought to replace the one I stole for ToadRacer didn’t fit, so I had to do some hose re-routing.

Then I put the roller rockers and pushrods back in it. That high lift cam gave me a little concern as I was trying to get the rocker arm shaft tightened down. There are always a couple valves with tension on them, no matter how much I rotated the engine. Dennis talked me off the cliff of paranoia on that one. Thanks Dennis.
