I guess it does take a little more brains to row a manual than just pushing the D button. Sometimes i feel a little like the wizard of oz..... Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! |

Colt is back together. I will try and tune the Webers tomorrow. I have all the throttle rods off to tune each carb. Center carb was acting funny before so I got some new idle mixture screws. They were loose in the threads. Also one aux venturi was in 180, so a little tune will help. Damn Italians, they should not go in like that! Stupid Americans they say! Throttle lever is tight, I hammered it quite a few times, no slippage. |

Had a good time at the show. I made contact with a gent from Australia who is building a slant. 61 Dodge Phoenix with a slant six 3 on the tree, crazy cool. |

Test and Tune tonight at Xtreme. Did not go as expected. I do think it launched better, 3500 clutch drop. I saw the shift light in first, 6500. But in second it got to 4000 and fell on it's face. Then the trans or throwout bearing started screaming. Not sure what it was, but coasted thru and then the engine died. I looked down and the gas pedal was on the floor. Throttle shaft had slipped around yet again. I took the hood off at the top end and pushed the lever back to get the pedal back. Started right up, but going back to the trailer started hearing those weird noises in 3rd. So I need to get it up in the air and see what I can figure out. |
