In my continuing effort to make this thing consistently 60', I sprung for new front shocks. Got some Calvert Stockers. The CE's on it have to be 25 years old. My main project for the winter is taking apart the rear suspension, checking all the rod ends and bolts, some new shocks and springs, and putting in the 5.13 gears. If nothing else I'm gonna get out on that Colt before he drives around me. |

Tracked down a set of 6.13 gears for a 489 case. I ain't afraid of no Colt.

6.13 with a 30 inch tire is like 95 MPH at 6500. IS that really what you want? |

I've come to a fork in the road, so I'll take it. Drug home a new car this weekend. 68 Dart, 500 ci wedge, 727, 4.88 Dana. Dyno sheets show just shy of 800 horse. I originally bought it to flip and make a few coins on, but when I saw it in person I fell in love with it. Since I am working again I can afford to keep both cars, but eventually one will have to go. Decisions, decisions......  500zilla?

   The guy leaning on the car is Paul. He could not have been better to deal with. His grandson was there too, and was hugely disappointed the car was sold. He and Grandpa Paul were going to race it, but just after they bought it Paul's health took a dump. I tried really hard to convince Paul to keep it, but he wanted it gone. Took it to the shop yesterday and unloaded it. It's going to be pretty close to a mid 9 second car.
