That's quite the heat sink you have there. I simply used a bracket and coil of a Chevy LT1.

I haven't been using a relay on mine and it's been fine.

I did this mod almost 2 years ago (with some forum help from Dan) on my 318 Dart (and have done a slant 6 since then), and only used a garden variety module (with relay). It has never given me even the slightest bit of trouble (although I do carry a spare module). Kudos to Dan!!!

HEI works great. The module I got turned out to be bad.Engine would run fine for 30seconds,then quit.Put new module in and now works fine.Idles at 650 in gear at 10degrees advance.Idles at 800 in park.I will find out the mileage difference soon.Backed timing down to 6degrees and idle to 600 in gear.Runs better now.Image

This has transformed my Valiant... Thanks.
Works so well that I feel that I must donate some hard earned $$ to show my appreciation.

The mileage difference is as follows, with leanburn 11mpg.HEI I am getting 20mpg.This is on a 1982 D150 shortbed with stock carb,904 with lockup and 3.55 rear gears.Tires are 235/75x15.This was well worth the effort.

Hey guys, I found this searching the web. It's a little expensive, but has a cool look.

With that much mass, I'll bet it works well too!

For the amount of work that would go into building that part, it seems reasonable to me.

I'm truely sorry if my "off-color" attempt at a joke rubbed anyone the wrong way. Not my intention what so ever.

I guess I need to leave the humor to the experts,

Keep in mind that's complete with module and cover, not just the cover. Bubba's knows his ignitions and spark. 8)

Off of a P4 intel.Used silicone base heatsink compound instead of dielectric that came with module.

I see that member GENT had some problems with his new HEI all in one module as well. I wonder if confusion between old 4 pin and new 4 pin wiring is to blame ?

Anyway, if anyone can help with this I sure would appreciate it!

:)
