the cab has been primed and blocked twice,, Kenny wants to hit it one more time then move forward with the top coat. I should get the cab section back,,, in the next two weeks,, then I can start re installing the interior, wiring, ,,,, and all that other good stuff ,,,,, while Kenny finishes the bed.
will be 100% done late winter / early spring 2013 :D
it has been a while and I want to drive it!

update on incremental progress:

got down to Mooresville on Saturday,, the primed exterior is about 5% from perfect,, Kenny found a few spots he wants to have blocked again.
While there we removed the doors,, I brought the hinges home, I'll cabinet blast those today,,install new pins and bushings and get them back to the paint shop Monday. Kenny said he will oversee the final exterior blocking then pick out a good worker bee to do the door jam, interior and under hood prep,, then,,, in the paint booth late this week ??

this is one of those deals where the scope expanded as time went on,, was to be a motor and fender re-do,,as of today,, is that plus : body off chassy with frame blast and repaint, that lead into a complete front and rear suspension rebuild,,,,currently the plan is to make this a "new 1983 D-150" but I do want to get it back on the road.

It's shaping up to be one awesome truck John!

It'll be well worth the wait. :D

I admire your ability to stay focused on just the truck when that sweet Barracuda has been sitting there patiently...

As you know, I ain't got that kinda discipline.

(You still interested in playing "ChumpCar" with me..? Or having me haul that black Duster up there to ya..?  )

Dude,,Dude,,Dude

weather its Chump Car or Neck Car,, over time it is something I want to do.
for me, I have always been sequential,, 1st the 83 d-150, then the Barracuda,,,,, then ?
got feelings for the third, but don't have the first one done yet. So everything else will wait. I pick up pieces from time to time,, but untill goals get firm, flexability is the go word.

piece by piece, going back together,
it is all incremental, a thousand tiny tasks that when put together, make a project.
here are photos from today.
