Sorry, I didn't get the email notification about replies. The head is from a 1971. I turned over the factory gasket so he's opening the ports to match. Prior to that, he was just squaring off the as-cast openings. I haven't found a source for the Aussie gasket otherwise that would be the guide... |

I haven't checked on the machinist for a while. The wife decided she needed a new kitchen  .I'll follow up with him today. |

Christine and I decided we needed a "new kitchen". This involved me walking to the hardware store and buying $20 of drawer rollers. After installation and lubrication of all drawers and hinges (2-3 hrs), they work like new in 1964. Oh, I guess I still need to order one more of the $5 back-of-drawer rollers that the store did not have. Lou |

I love your 1964 house.....especially the outdoor BBQ/kitchen. Time to revisit. I have not been to the Gravy with Breakfast part of the World for a while. |

I'm not so lucky. Stainless slide-in stove. All new cabinets. Massive layout change. New flooring, etc. |

my kitchen is groovy 1960 vintage with green cabinets. 2 story Oven(s) and stove, Just ditched the shag carpet in 2005. Leaves more $ for garages and cars. Greg |

I think he meant "double oven," not double walled oven. You don't see them much anymore. They were two separate ovens stacked on top of each other. My house (built in 68) had one when we moved in, but we removed it when we removed the chimney it was housed in. I actually wish we still had it, especially around the holidays when I spend a large amount of time in the kitchen baking. |

Yep that's a double oven. a 2 in 1 deal. I like it. I can cook a turkey on the bottom and heat up a ring gear up top. I have no Idea what a double walled oven is unless I google it. Greg |

As an update on the head, the machinist is waiting for a new batch of the finishing stones he uses for port work...apparently they're back-ordered nationwide. I should have the head back after Easter. |

That's my kind of house renovation. Now you have double roller drawers. My guess is the timing would have been way off with the old ones. Lou Boy the thread sure slid sideways. |

OK, I'm no rocket guy... but would not a rotary screw supercharger with an oversize exhaust valves be cheaper and work better then mod'ing all this tech . I think the old Bugatti had 2 exhaust valves on their supercharged racing engines. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gFCW3PHBws |
