I have 150 in the bank and less in credit card availability!
Relying on any relatives that have a few bucks to spare to help out - and those are very few! Will have to wait until the 3rd of next month before I have any money again...

Maybe that Anaheim guy will take less for the head, he has a lot of heads to move, he'll get way more hits on his chevy stuff...use your puppy dog eyes or whatever...

LOL

The van will be back in the garage here about 11 today.
There is a guy that Josh says is willing to come help too! And he knows about Mopar stuff!

Until I get the head off I have no idea how bad things are - may not need a new head just a little valve work?

Will know better later...
Hopefully that head will still be available if I do need it...

You might just need a head gasket.. Send me your sister's address, PM me, and I'll send a gasket set there.

Backed in first time - one hand steering - the other at the carb pulling on the throttle! And it huffing and chuffing the whole way!

There is about 2"s of space between whatever is back there and the van!

I heard from someone else I think said they were gonna send a gasket set this way! Let me check first!

AND THANK YOU!!!

I have a top end gasket set I could send you, but it doesn't have the head gasket. Let me know if you need it.

And $1600 just to rebuild a head is insane. It better have new positive sealing brass valve guides, oversize valves, a good street porting, and come with a NOS chrome Direct Connectin valve cover for that price. That mechanic needs HIS head examined (and I don't mean cylinder head).

Will do Brian and Reed!
Thank you both very much!

Reed - that was exactly my first thought!
I have been to this movie before and I was so pissed that he would offer a quote like that - no matter how good he is! It was outrageous and I am positive he did it to blow me off by making me feel cheap!
LOL

AND including new plugs and all the stuff that was new on it by only hours too!
Like spark plugs!
LOL

Let me know, if Reed sends the rest of the gasket set, then I can send the head gasket if you don't already have a sponsor on that piece.

You don't need to drain it all the way; I think I drained 1.5 gallon and that was plenty to get the coolant level below the head.

Others can chime in if they think I'm wrong.
