Gasket showing elongated two barrel holes. Those long holes are what require the use of the phenolic spacer to block the outer ends of the holes.

Not familiar with that style of a adapter. The adapter in my pictures ,it's probably 50 years old. Only meant to go from 4 Barrel to 2 Barrel. Wont Work the other way without modification.

Those four holes would have to be drilled out or you would never get any gasket to compression.Image

Open hole to be used for both sizes of two barrel carb, BBD and Holley 2100. This adapter is a Specter (Spectre?) brand knock-off of the older Mr. Gasket model 1933 carb adapter. It is designed to mount any four barrel carb on any two barrel intake. So the holes are intended to fit the BBD bolt pattern, Holley 2100 bolt pattern, and Holley 2300 bolt pattern. The downside is those oblong holes and the gaskets.

So is that a Rochester 2gc to holley 4v or 2gc to holley 2300 and then 2300 to holley 4v?
The jeep guys say that some of the 2gc to holley 2300 adapters leak.

That is one nasty adapter. Anyway to get rid of the socket bolts?

Nope. I actually got those hex head bolts because they are better than the Phillips head screws the adapter comes with. The Mr. Gasket adapter is a touch nicer, but the same design. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel_sy ... parts/1933

It combines all two barrel bolt patterns to all four barrel bolt patterns. As usual, a tool that does many things does none of the well.
