Maybe you can bolt up the lower X-member if you remove the stock rubber mount?

It doesn't look like I'll need to do that. I think my transmission cross member is going to need to bolt to my subframe connectors though.

Any updates on this Casey?

I was looking at r154. Supra trans's and they are sure expensive with only 5 gears ... 2000-7000 $ i would suppose they have a pretty beefy torque rating.

The CD 009 looks more reasonable at about 700-2000$

Would love to see some progress on this.

Greg

The new addition to Casey's family may be taking up a lot of formerly "free" time,LOL!! That's OK, but still watching, ready to move forward when ready..............

Sorry guys! Apparently, I stopped receiving notifications of posts. I took a very long break as my new addition has us on our toes and my business has picked up significantly. However, my neighbor wants my car off his lift so I pressed forward and had some parts made for my replacement torsion bar crossmember. They were laser cut today so I'll be test fitting next week. I can't remember if I posted pictures of the tunnel surgery yet. Photo bucket broke all my previous picture links when they required the upgrade. I started another picture hosting account but haven't had a chance to back and fix all the posts.

Thanks for checking in, Casedawg. Sounds like you have been super busy - understood. Several of us are still interested in supporting and getting in on this swap. Looking forward to hearing about this.

Best wishes,

Lou

I searched car-part.com for the Nissan transmission. Some were offered as low as $600, others were for sale at more than twice that much. I could probably swap the gears of the GM V6 T-5s I see around here - I don't need the strength, but this could be good for a D150.

Teaser photo. I haven't figured out a good photo hosting solution since photobucket went on their power trip so you'll have to visit fabo.

Doesn't Flickr's terms of service state not to perform 3rd party hosting?

I like the link to the picture uploaded to FABO.
