Hey there

Would it make much diffrence if I can weld a mani for placing the carb 90deg rotated? (the 2 barrels placed one pointing to front of the engine and the other to the back?) rather than using the stock 2 bbl mani?

I'm about using a holley 2300 and the size of the intake manifold "window" is too narrow compared to the holley's... (I know that I should use the adapter plate, I know, but still it's kinda huge diffrence between carb bores and manifold bore)

"Parallel" 2bbls have been done, and there are advantages to doing it this way -- you can put in a vertical divider bar (weld to the floor of the intake) between the front and rear barrels to help reduce cross-pull and improve torque.
