Will a Manual bolt up to a /6 that originaly came with an auto or are the cranks different? Thanks, Kyle. |

The cranks are the same, but there is a split between '69 and '68 in crank hub size. In '69 they went to a larger hub. This should effect your auto tranny only. When going to a stick shift, you need to have a pilot bushing in the recess at the back of the crank, to accept the input shaft of the manual tranny. All of the auto cranks I have seen already had the bushing installed at the factory, even if they were factory auto trannies. If it is not there, just ask for a input shaft bushing for the year of your engine, and install it. They seldom wear out, so it one is there, it is probably safe to just use it. |
