anyone ever try other types of 1 bbl carbs on their slant,strombergs,zenith,rochesters say off of a corvair.any input especially about duals (offy) will be appreciated..

The linkage & butterfly for a SL6 1 bbl is 90 degrees off when you look at other 1 barrel carbs.

There are Holley, Carter and Stromburg carbs made for the Slant, the Carters are pretty "forgiving" but you can get a little better performance / mileage out of the Holley. The Stromburg "WWW" carb is a real "odd duck" and hard to find. It runs a lot like the Carter.

I've used a Carter YFA off of a Ford 300-6. I've looked at some other Carters and noticed the AMC Jeep Carter YFA's have the closest linkage to a slant6. I used the 300-6 carb, because it had 220 cfm's.
