Here's a little "Trivia" question: I have a '64 Valiant Signet 200 convertible.

I see switches on the front door pillars for interior lighting, but can't find the lights themselves...

Where did they put the interior lights in the ragtops?

Under the dash?

Kick panels?

Door panels?

Rumour has it that my interior was redone by previous owner, so perhaps they were covered-up?

Help!

On my 64 Dart, I think they're in the rear seat side panels, near the armrests.

My Valiant has a single bulb under the dash.

64 Convert...

Where under the dash? Center? PAssenger side?

What shape is the fixture (rectangle, round) ?

(Mine is "gone without a trace" !)

Thanks for the clue !

Mine 64 Valiant convert is under the dash too. I could get measurements, but it's approximately in the middle. I have a 65 Barracuda, and it has the same light in the same place in addition to the headliner mounted lights. You can still find NOS under dash courtesy light kits for early a bodies floating about.

Slantophile,

Does the bottom lip of the dash have a cut-out or opening for the courtesy light, or does the light have a bracket that attaches to dash lip?

Is the light round or rectangular?

So far I haven't found any NOS or repro lights...

Thanks for any details...

It's bare bulb on a clip that attaches to the bent-up lip of the dash slightly offset to the passenger side. I'm assuming it's stock.

Wow...I guess I was expecting something with a reflector, bezel ,lens and so on...

I guess I'll go ahead and make-up something for now...

How many wires to the light?
