If you're talking a hands-down racing setup then take out as much interior you can spare(you're in a good place if all you have left is the drivers seat). Try to get as my fiberglass body panels and bumpers as you can(or you can just take them off, though your car won't be one of the better looking racers if you go that route). If you have AC get rid of it. Are you setting up for drag racing? If so you can get small torsion bars, aluminum rotors and calipers, and drag racing shocks. There's a lot of things one can do to lighten a car, it just depends on whether you want to drive the car on the streep or simply be the fastest in a straight line.

If you want a comfortable daily driver then try keeping your gas tank below 1/2 and take out the AC. You can get light weight bucket seats and if you don't need to carry passenger you can take out the back seat. Fiberglass body panels would also help. It's probably best leaving your brakes alone because if you upgrade them to stop better they'll be heavier, if you upgrade them to lighter setups you'll run the risk of running a setup not meant for the street(i.e.: the rotors might shatter with a pothole).

Thanks! I've got some ideas now. The car runs 13.80's, I want to try for low 13's or high 12's.
