I'm looking for opinions about the factory metal shields behind the rotors. It looks like the rotor would cool better without them. Who runs them and who leaves them off? |

I have them on my '68 Dart daily driver, but not on my '64 Dart part-time driver and '66 Valiant racer. You coming down to CMP this weekend? All day Sat and Sun. Tom Drake will be stopping by Sat too. Lou |

Those shields are "splash" shields. They are to keep water off the rotors. |

I don't use them, and I haven't had problems...BUT, it's possible the brakes work better in rain/snow with them. |
