Cool stuff, Andy. Keep up the top notch work! I do at least want a set of those rotors... Should've posted earlier, but really swamped with work and family stuff. Project V brakes were excellent on the CMP track, regarded as the toughest on brakes/tires in this region. We only topped 95MPH, due to low power so far, but the car was run for 6 hours total in one weekend (two drivers), still with original pads (3hrs running at VIR-Patriot also). So far, I'm convinced that the Wilwood calipers will be fine for this light car, but we'll see after the power goes up... Also, finished the new A500 adapter plate install on my Dart. Just need to reposition exhaust. Worked like a charm - drove to DC and back already - 300 mi one way. Have lot of pics but haven't had time to sort and write up. Cheers, Lou |

Hi Lou, That all sounds great. If your pictures are high quality then maybe we should do a magazine article on the tranny adapter. Randy Bolig at Mopar Muscle would be interested. Shoot him an email if you get a chance. I think that we should've use the radial mount Dynalites for your brake setup. The bracket would've been easier to build and the radial mount uses a much thicker brake pad. I guess I just didn't do enough research (or maybe the radial mount wasn't available then?) Post subject: | Andy, are you interested in doing new brackets? |
Hi Andy, I am in Iraq right now for the golfing. ( okay, civilian job), and I am almost finished on the rear suspension/brakes for my barracuda before I left. I have been planning to buy your front brackets when I get back, and have been scouting ebay for viper calipers. These Wilwood calipers look a bit more robust, and they do have thicker pads, so I suspect that they would be as good as the viper calipers for my application. Are you interested in building a new bracket for them? I might be able to buy the calipers while I am here, have them sent to you to mock up, and use as your test set, and then purchase the brackets from you. Whatta ya think? Thanks, Greg Mader |

Yep, those radial mounts do look nice. Maybe we'll do the next setup that way... So far, I've seen no trouble with the regular B-DLs though. I'll send Randy an email when I get time, most likely in a week or two. Lou |

Greg, I have a radial mount wilwood caliper on hand so if you want a set of brackets for it I can build a set. Shoot me an email and we can chat some more about it. andyf@arengineering.com |

Lou, here is the latest setup. Porsche Big Red calipers and Porsche rotors. The Porsche rotors are a two piece design so I just took off the stock hat and built new ones. ![]() |
