I was reading thru some old posts (from 2001) there was a post about a guy name Doug Powers running a 64 Valiant with 2 - 1 barrels. The post said he was running 14.03. I would like to try to find out anything I could about the rest of his combo? Thanks in advaance.............

It looks like the post was quoting "Dave Mueller" giving an update from a race at Woodburn. If this helps jog anyones memory.........

I have talked to Doug Powers "off & on" over the years, great Slant Sixer.
The thing about Doug is that he is a merchant marine and is out at sea for long blocks of time.
The best thing to do is to write him a letter, drop me a PM and I can give you his address.

I also remember reading an article about this.
It would be cool to know his combo, if it did indeed get into
the 14's w/o nitrousl

Thats amazing! Was his car race only? And was it a station wagon? I'd love to be able to run those kind of numbers with my 2 holleys........

Do you have any reworked 1 barrels leftover you wanna get rid of? Did you both use 1920's?
