| Post subject: | Holley 5200 Rebuild Kits, any preference? |
I've been looking for a rebuild kit for this carb and found a Nihas brand kit for 26 dollars. I've been told Nihas is a Borg Warner subsidiary. Any suggestions on brand? I read on a site somewhere to try and get a Holley kit but I am not able to find one yet. Also I read that there is a "trick Kit" for carbs but haven't found one for this carb either. Appreciate the help. Thanks. |

What I ahve seen is that the cheap kits don't have many "metal or rubber" parts in them, they tend to be gaskets / instructions (paper) only. A "paper only" kit may-be OK for a newer carb where you just need to look inside and check all the settings and make sure all the inturnal plugs, seals and gaskets are doing their job. DD |

Thanks Doc. I got lucky today and found a real Holley Rebuild Kit from a local performance shop. Of course I have no idea how long it's been on the shelf but it's sealed and looks clean on the box. |
