Fellow Slanters I have found a good source for the double roller timing set. Hughes Performance Has them Link below.. http://www.hughesengines.com/partDetail ... rtID=11455 I did not personally deal with them, but I Just wanted to pass along their info - Hopefully they have a great product here.. In the past if you could not get one of these chains thru mopar you had to piece one togther - should be easier and less hassle through HUghes.. Greg |

Great! Now I know where to tell people to get one. I have read about many people trying to piece ones togeter with BB Chrysler and chevy Parts. Hughes Has been advertising their cams in Mopar Collectors Guide for a while and They seem to be a compay that is mopar friendly. Check them out! Greg |

Hmmm.... I guess it's nice they offer a double roller set for a slant, but it is still that soft cast iron cam sprocket, not the hardened sprocket like they are promoting about their V8 sets. ![]() |

Post subject: | tried hensley..... |
Hensley performance has a mopar performance timing chain for the slant listed, but I tried to buy one and they said it was discontinued and couldn't get it....MP seems to drop lots of products.. Hensley is good to deal with but stuff they can't get shouldn't be listed.... |

I must admit my ignorance here, but what is the advantage to have a dual roller? |

Dual roller timing chains provide more accurate engine timing due to the fact that they do not strech like single rollers do, thus also increasing reliability- a must when running hot camshafts and stiff valve springs.. |

As the author of this thread, I can say that I have finally got one of these from hughes. I am pleased so far - Fast shipping and great product. I got it for my 79 volare with a mild cam. I also drilled it out to put in the offset bushing. I also own 2 original MP sets - and I cant tell the difference. Greg |

Well the only difference would be that if mopar perf. still made these they would be more expensive than these from hughes engines! Glad you like yours! I like my set as well, thanx for informing us! ![]() |
