I bought cam and lifters because my head already had good springs on it. ![]() |

i bought a used comp cams 252s off ebay(!) and i called comp cams and they said i could use it with my original springs and lifters. since my engine had less than 15,000 miles on a fresh and complete rebuild i wasn't worried about getting new lifters or springs. the 253s is slightly above stock though. if you want anything larger i would suggest getting the 340 springs. i have heard that they work real well and are a direct replacement. zedpapa |

I used the Comp 252, used a matched set of stock springs (went through a can of them to find a uniform set), at the time lifters were getting hard to come by so I ended up having to buy a small block set of mech. lifters (so now I hve extras...) The best timing set I've seen yet is the one Cox Brothers offers, especially if you are degreeing the cam in. -D.Idiot |
