I plan to supercharge a second Slant I've got. I am in the planning stage and have no knowledge of all the conditions that must be met to achieve good performance of the system. My first concern is regarding compression... I think that in a forced induction system like turbo or SC, having high compression is bad and that actually the less compression you have the more boost you get. I plan to overbore to .060" and possibly increase a little bit more the displacement by stroking the engine. But because I have no technical experience, I am not sure if the displacement has something to do with compression... Please advise.

Thanks,

Ed

Displacement does have something to do with compression.
If you run less compression, you can use more boost, but it will be "soggy" on the low rpm part before boost takes over. On a street car, I would try to find a medium comp/ boost... :)
