I found a parts car for my aspen, and it has an aftermarket tranny filter inline with the cooler.
I guess it wouldn´t harm to install it on the car, but what kind of filter is it?
It looks like a remote engine oil filter, but it has no name, or numbers...
The old engine´s filter fit, but I don´t know if it works right on the tranny.
Can I use a normal oil filter on the tranny?

There is no need. Whoever installed it probably didnt realise the trans has its own filter in the pan already.

That filter will only create an unnecessary pressure drop in the cooler circuit.
