There's a special tool that makes it a cinch, but you can get by with just a wide flat head screwdriver and a shop rag. Wrap the tip of the screwdriver in the shop towel so you don't mar the cowl paint. Put the screwdriver inline with the wiper arm and pry upward on the very heel of the arm while you apply inward pressure above the hinge with your other hand. The arm will pop off. |

You did not mention what vehicle or year.I cant get mine off to change the wiper seals. On my 1975-6 Valiant you pull the arm away from the window, then pull the tiny latch out sideways, let the arm rest back down against the latch and pull the thing off. On later Mopar stuff they eliminated the latch thing, then you need the tool or do like SSDan said above. |

By inward do you mean toward the pivot, or toward the car? |

Inward towards the car. Haven't forgot about your letter you need, I'm working on it BTW. |

i just used the claw end of a hammer to pry mine up. make sure to use lots of rags or something to keep it from scratching anything. it worked like a charm |

Where do you get the tool at to remove them. Tried the screwdriver thing and it didn't work. |
