It seems that the triple Weber sidedrafts is a pretty potent combination, despite the expense. Does anyone have experience with the streetability of this package? The rest of the vehicle would include an automatic transmission and gears in the 3.55 - 3.73 range. Cam would be relatively mild (short overlap). I'm not sure about the low-end fuel flow with this stubby intake manifold. Thanks for ideas and comments. -Mac |

The triple side draft set-up really work well at WOT and high RPM. The set-up does not respond well to idle and part throttle operation because it is basically an "independant runner" set-up with no plenum. DD |

DD, I had the pleasure of driving a couple of cars equipped with triple Webers (not slants unfortunately), and the throttle response was amazing, the only way to top it would be by going efi. Although both these cars were running pretty wild cams, and a lot of time was needed to properly tune the carbs. A Holley 650 with a long runner manifold and the same cam displayed slightly more hp but was a pig to drive down low. Cheers Cranky |

Webbers seem to calm a wild cam for the street.I think that they are great for the street. Will |

I think this is another case of "match all the parts so they work well together". I seem to have more luck tuning-in a single 4 bbl then I do with the triple Webber set-up. |

DD , Id love to run triple webers , but to be honest I think syncronising them and then tuning them would be a bit beyond me... |

Ive been thinking about this setup a lot for my car, down the line. Ive already built the engine to handle heavy mods later on. Id love to see an article for a streetable three-deuce buildup. Maybe with some Stromberg SUs? Ive got a buddy with some leftover Volvo carbs from the 60s... |
