can anyone give me some information on primers,what primer is used for what paints such as in enamel or acrilic,an info or web sights would be great,thanks,,,speedfreak. |

Every paint system is different - try and stay within a specific manufacturer and follow their recommendations. I use PPG "DAR" for my topcoats and DPLF epoxy primers. The link below is our local auto paint supplier and has links to ppgs site - the p-137 document describes the DAR topcoat and in there is the compatible sections to describe which finishes it can be applied over. Note - painting is very toxic - paint systems have cyanide and lead base compounds - a fresh air supplied respirator is a MUST. http://www.tricitypaint.com/docs.html |
