I've got a '65 valiant 200, and i'm putting a /6 in it. I have the passenger side metal mount piece that bolts to the engine, but i don't have one for the drivers side. I've noticed there is to different ones, and one of them is slightly angled, which makes the engine sit back about 1-2". Which one do i need? And where can i find one?

All the '62-'66 A-body slant-6 engine mount brackets and insulators are the same. There was a special RH mount called for in the parts book, used only on convertibles, but over the years it's been found that this is completely interchangeable with the standard mount. Replacement mount cushions (the rubber part) are getting a little hard to find in decent quality, but they're still around if you look.

The metal piece you need will come from any '62-'66 slant-6 originally installed in an A-body. Same-year B- and other-body installations may use the same metal piece, but I'm not sure.

I found the same thing! There are 2 styles for the drivers side. I have both of them in my garage and I am going to use the one that is in better condition. The height differs between the 2 of them. I`m sure it is no major deal. The engine will just sit a bit different in the car depending on what mount you use.

There is one style of this metal piece for the '62-'66 A-bodies. Not two. The shorter type is a '67-'72 piece.

Anyone happen to have a picture of this mount for a '65 a-body?
