Mike Jeffrey will win the championship.

Possum will runner-up.

I will introduce yet another new driver to the Slant series, probably female.

I THINK EITHER RON HAMBY OR DALE ROSE WILL REPEAT. UNLESS I GET LUCKY AND HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT IT. POSSUM IS ALWAYS A GOOD CHOICE. OF COURSE LETS NOT FORGET ABOUT RODNEY WHO FINISHED 2D LAST YEAR. SO MANY CHOICES.

I suspect that the record of 9.33/132mph is in grave danger, perhaps by the originator of this post.

I wish we had run 9.33 :D .....but the 9.85 could fall. Mr. Myers has been locked up in his super secret lair working on the arrow for a while now. We should have the Simca going soon. Not sure if we will make it to Farmington with it but it will be close. Bodywork is done and we are trying to line up a painter willing to spray metalflake.

Moms "new" race car will have a *cough*delay*cough*box in it. Dad has a daily driver 4dr valiant he will be bringing and footbraking so he could be a another person with a shot at the street title.

My money will be on Mike Jefferies to win. With the 6 race cap this will be his best chance yet to win it all.

Whoops!!  You're right, Tom.....I did type in 9.33.  That should have been 9.93.

Yes, I do remember your attempt, and the subsequent 9.85. It's good to hear that the Simca will live again.

no lies -- no secrets. been doing a lot of junior dragster racing with charles iv. my youngest son, chris, will also begin racing this year.

i wouldn't be surprised if we see high 9.60's before this season ends. just a guess.....

as for the championship, i'm keeping my money in my pocket. hamby....hargis.....parker.....

It's good to see Charles checking in.

That's cool you are making the kids the priority. I might very seriously consider getting a Junior Dragster when we get back to the states. I will have three sons eligible by then (8, 10, and 12)

I rented a Jr. Dragster for the day for my oldest son when we first got to Georgia. Andrew was 8 at the time. He enjoyed it, but I don't think he caught the bug.

I think Charles' predictions are pretty safe. Rodney, Ron H., and Ron P. are always contenders. Dale Rose will likely want to keep that traveling trophy though! If Mike tows to enogh races he's definitely the guy to watch.

None of these guys are chasing that super low E.T. though, are they?

Will it be the "Come-Back Simca" dipping deeper in the 9s?

Do the Cox Brothers have something together yet?

Charles is hangin' with the kids, so it doesn't sound like he's hunting...

Who else is after that "Quickest Slant" title?

As far as street car champion? I aint got no idea! Too many variables.

Rob
