How can I adjust the camber for my Duster? I need to get my tires riding right or I'll just keep chewing them up and no help from alignment shops round here...So I decided to do it myself. Also, what should I adjust the camber to? |

Find a flat place, drop a plumb bob off the fender, and set them both (R and L) to zero measuring to the rim, top and bottom. Turn both front and rear eccentric bolts the exact same amount (for each respective side) or you will alter the caster, which you don't want to do if the car is tracking straight. To make the adjustment easy, jack up the side you are working on just enough to take the weight off the suspension and access the adjusters, do not jack it off the ground, or the weight of the suspension will make adjusting difficult. Several attempts may be required (trial and error) to get things exactly where you want. When you let the car down you will have to roll it a few feet forward or back (or both) to free the side load on the tire to get a good measurement. D/W |
