can anyone give me some information on primers,what primer is used for what paints such as in enamel or acrilic,an info or web sights would be great,thanks,,,speedfreak.

Every paint system is different - try and stay within a specific manufacturer and follow their recommendations. I use PPG "DAR" for
my topcoats and DPLF epoxy primers. The link below is our local auto
paint supplier and has links to ppgs site - the p-137 document describes
the DAR topcoat and in there is the compatible sections to describe which
finishes it can be applied over.

Note - painting is very toxic - paint systems have cyanide and lead base compounds - a fresh air supplied respirator is a MUST.
