| Post subject: | Fuel Pump Assistance |
I am installing a electric fuel pump and I need some advice. Where should I mount it (how close to the tank and/or carb). I am running nitrous so I need to run a bigger line and have quite a bit of flow into the carb. I have a couple of questions, should I run a fuel cell instead of the the stock tank? And should I " T " of my fuel line for the cheater plate or have seperate fuel line and pump for the NOS? Thanks for everyone's help, you all have been a huge help. If I can get my NOS running, I should be in the mid 12's in the quarter, I will keep everyone updated. Thanks Again!!! D.J. '67 Barracuda Slant Six Powered |

DJ, I have my pump at the rear of the car. (Holley Blue pump) For nitrous I would split the lines off of the regulator and run at least 7psi fuel pressure to the plate and carb both. I have sprayed mine as high as 9 psi. The more fuel pressure you run, the more nitrous pressure you can run. Remember high nitrous pressure and low fuel pressure=BOOM! Make sure to get a good gauge for both fuel and nitrous pressure, it will save lots of headaches and destruction later. |
