I found a good 2280 on eBay to accomplish My Super Six conversion on an '82 D150 lean burn Six. Dawgonit...in the process of rebuilding, discovered there's no idle jets on the thing...

Anyone have an old 2280 carcass, or ? with the idle jet assemblies?

Tom

2280 used to have two placings for the idl speed screws

later model would have them on left/right on the metering block, earlyer, would have them right below the PCV connection plug.

I'm not sure if i undesrstood your Q correctly, thoug.

Threse would go at the base, on either side of a large vacuum port. Just as they're shown on the exploded view of the Holley 2280 at carburetorfactory.com

have a seat, a spring, and the threaded metering jet itself

list number is R9951

Aha...

its very similar to carter build. I would recommend you tpo get a 2300 holley. I love those. I know that some people in this forum hates those, but I tell you, in my experience they're reliable, simple and nice to dial in, plus gives more power. Get yourself a 350cfm 2300.

thanks... I just hate to see this one.. boiled out, rebuilt, and ready to go except for these jets... nothing but a boat anchor right now.

... for want of a nail, the horse was lost, you know?..
