Help......

Got a friend gonna scour some junkyards in the next week or so for parts for his (modern FWD hatchback) and he asked if I needed anything....well, i need a windshield!!

Can anyone tell me what others apart from the Valiant (If any) windshields fit? I heard Dart & something else fit, but wanna be sure...

Its a '63 V200 Wagon.

Thanks again for your assistance

Dave

I know 63-66 Valiant and Barracuda are the same, and I think the Same year Darts. BTW, those windshields wre still available "new", as of last year. Price was about $225 installed, at my location. Call some auto glass companies.

1963 thru 1966 Dart and Valiant windshields are the same.

All the junkyard windshields are likely to be fogged at the edges by now. I was fortunate a few years back to get a brand new one just by checking with the local auto glass shop. It wasn't too much, less than $200 installed if I remember correctly.

I have read in multiple places that the hardtop and vert cars have different windshields than the post/4dr cars.. one of them was taller or something.

I *think* in the interchange manual it shows they are all the same (don't have it in front of me, so I'm just going from memory).

Does anyone have a definative answer on this?

Fact, confirmed by the cars in my yard. Same windshield in 66 Cuda, 65 Valiant 2 dr post, 66 Valiant 2 dr hardtop. Don't know about convert, but think it is the same also.

I can tell you that the windshield that came out of my 63 4 door Valiant was slightly wider at the top than the New replacement I have. If you check the parts books, they all have the same number for that year and for a few years later. I think it may be some sort production tolerance issue.

I have had a bit of trouble sealing it, but I think most of it is that I didn't know what I was doing when I installed it. I knew the process, just didn't have the practice down. I will be much better at the next install.

Which with the rainy season coming, may be anytime.

John

The auto glass indexing system used in North America is called NAGS. The NAGS number for the windshield to fit all '63-'66 A-bodies is DW-625.
