Post subject:  Brake Tee thingy

I am trying to determine if what I have in my 61 Valiant rear brake lines
is the stock "brake tee" or some type of proportion valve added by a PO.

This part has the two steel lines to each wheel and the Brake flex hose
coming to it. It is mounted on the 7.25 rear ends axle tube - The reason
I think it may be a proportion valve is the top seems to be a round knob
- may just be a cap or vent since it does not seem to turn.

Can anyone tell me if what I have described would be a stock brake tee
used on 61 ?

That's the axle tube vent, it also holds the junction block for the brake lines as you noted, it was the same on the 60-62 valiants that I have messed with the past 2 years, you have the rare v-8 conversion correct? How is that running? Later- Lawrence

Sounds like you're seeing the stock brake tee and the round rear axle vent.

Post subject:  Thanks !

No there is no V-8 It is a Slanted Car !
Had a 225 which I pulled - And there is a 170 hyper pak
in the works for under its hood - But the project this weekend is
a master cylinder and hard lines for the KH discs that were put on
it over the last year.

Thanks again !

Sorry, thought you were someone else that cruises in a road toad with a 360 sandwiched between the fenders. Anyhow I'm down to my 62 sedan & plan to make it more than just my work vehicle (still slant powered)
