greetings all you mopar fans. i just picked up an 85 d100 unmolested slant-6,factory 4 spd truck, i haven't ran a 6 since 1981. i like my 318's but it's going to be $3.20 per gl. in a few mos. folks,so get ready! anyhow it's running rich, choke's ok,but i can't get a good look at the mixture screw. what type of screw head is it? it's buried deep and i thought i could lean it out a bit. thanks, any info would be appreciated.

A special hex head tool is needed to adjust the mixture on later carburators.

And they usually put a cap or plug over the adjuster screw so you can't mess with it and make it worse. The screw will be concealed under the plug. It is intended to be tamper proof. :)

It's been a lot of years since I messed with the idle screw on my 87 truck slant 6, but I think it was a normal Allen (hex key) wrench fit the screw.
