Ok people, this maybe is a stupid question for some and interesting for others. I want my car to ride low, how I can do that? new shocks, rims, low profile tires? Also, is there a way to increase turning rate of a Valiant Duster ´71? |

On the fronts you can crank down the torsion bars. The rear, you can put blocks between the springs and axle. Be careful if you go too low your going to bottom out too often, may benifit from stiffer bars and springs. If by increase turning rate you mean decrease the number of turns you need to turn the steering wheel - you can get fast ratio pitman/idler arms or get different ratio manual steering boxes. Usually the less you have to turn the steering wheel, the more effort you have to put into it so you have to balance it all out. |

By increase turning rate, I reffeer to got more angle of car turning in corners, not in getting less turns of steering wheel. Ok, now for lowering part, crank down seems easy, but the rear part sounds a little complex, how I do that? |

The rear can be lowered by removing the front mounts for the rear leaf springs. The mounts are then swapped side for side and turned upside down. It lowers the rear about 2". Cost $2.00 for new bolts and about 2 hours labour. The picture below is my car with the front torsion bars wound down and the rear spring perches reversed.

I wouldn't do that avenger, because it will change spring rate and affect load carrying capacity. I think sandy's idea about flipping the hangers is the easiest/cheapest way to lower the back. |

Ok, then a easy and best way for lowering the rear is flipping the hangers, any idea of increasing turning, here in Mexico some streets got a close range for turning, and is terrible to do your turn, see that your car will not pass, go in reverse, and turn again to complete turning |

Almost kidding, but get a frontend from a 4x4 and put it in the rear. |
