He guys.... I'm sure you've heard this question before but had to ask. I'm new to the world of "SLANT 6's" and have a 73 Dart Sport with a 6. I was considering doing the V-8 swap but have decided to stay with the slant. Now I need some HP! Nothing to radical.... Still want to drive it everyday and enjoy the A/C! It's now rated at 105HP which needs to be at least doubled! I've already picked up a 2 bbl intake from a SuperSix (carb suggestions?), was thinking on going with the six-into-one header (Mopar) or maybe an Offe header but need a good cam choice and any other suggestions on HP upgrades. Feel free to PM me or add your comments here. I've also picked up a super clean 7 1/4 sure-grip. Lastly my car is Pale green ( code F1 ) , I don't see many around in this color, any pic's of others in this color feel free to email me! Go to www.cardomain.com/memberpage/818614 to view.

Thanks,
Bryan

I doubt you'll double it with a 2bbl... Dunno, maybe nitrous or turbo would make it possible.

Czech out the specs on my Duster. It is a "street/strip" car with a/c, maybe it will give you some ideas. I'm guessing it makes perhaps 170 - 175hp.

That's a very desirable item. I suggest you find a set of 3.91 ring and pinion gears to install and have some fun. It won't be good on gas, but it will be a blast at the stoplights!!

A super six will give you a couple or 10 horses (which will seem like a lot if you've already done the ring and pinion swap)

Try it, you'll like it! If not, offer up your rebuild 7 1/4 with sure-grip and 3.91 gears, and the super six in the parts wanted. You'll easily get a return on the investment to put twards your v-8. I don't think you'll want to give up the six once you done those changes.

Stock HP for a 225 is only rated at 105 HP?? Torque must be something like 180 ft lbs though, right?
