I am looking for someone in south-eastern pa, delaware or northern maryland that would be considered a good machine shop to do a port & polish with bigger valves on a slant 6 head.[/img]

If I were you, I would meet up with Mike Jeffrey at a Slant 6 drag race and give him a head. It will take some time (6 mo?), but he will make it flow and do nice work for a reasonable price. Look in the "links/contacts" section for his phone number. He currently is making as much or more HP as anyone on the planet.

Another option would be Gary Bruner, who also does Slant heads (a lot) and comes to Slant races.

The risk with someone local is that they will have no experience with Slant heads and will not be able to make them flow well for a reasonable price, or might lie to you about their results...

Lou
