Summit did an excellent job getting the cable to me.... Awesome service! The instructions included from Lokar are dismal at best. I think the bracket that connects to the tailshaft is pretty straightforward, but at the carb end I'm not "getting it" :?

From the tailshaft, the cable turns 180 degrees & goes up to the engine compartment. Is the cable supposed to then do another 180 from in front of the carb position to come back to the linkage? Do I need to fabricate a bracket for the carb end?

Any info is greatly appreciated, and if anybody had a pic or two, I'd be very grateful!

If a bracket is needed, I'm thinking about fabricating an integrated bracket/EGR cover/spring return plate out of aluminum to handle all the cables & bracketry.... I've already done an EGR cover/spring return & polished it.... Looks great, but I want the Lokar setup & Super Six stuff to be a real clean install....

Thanks!

I installed one on a 361 (throttle pull direction should be the same). you will just come in from the back of the carb, no need for another 180. Here's a couple pics, let me know if you need any more info.

I used the bracket from lokar. it makes it really easy to use both their throttle and kickdown cables.

Ahhhhhh! Things begin to make sense! Thanks for posting the pics... I'm going to fabricate a bracket for the throttle & KD Cables, and will also be an EGR cover, and arm for the return spring..... Hopefully I can make it a one-piece deal that will make for a nice clean install. Will post pics if I'm successful!

Thanks again!
