Post subject:  Time to build

My current motor needs some time off, so its time to build a replacement. I need it to run on 87 grade since I'm not rich. I've already up-graded to a 8 1/4 with 3.21 gears, with tweaks for the 904, and a bbp disc brake swap on the way. Here is a list of what have planned for the build-up of a 73' 225 block: Factory or MP 2-barrel intake with a Carter BBD or 32/36 Weber, maybe a Clifford Performance intake with a 32/36 Weber or small 4-barrel, mild port and gasket matched head with larger valves, hotter cam, .030 over bore and bring the compression up to 9.1 with a fresh bottm end. If I missed anything let me know and any suggestions would be great.

Hi my last post to this group for a while.........go to .com and do a search for dnfd737 look at how I built my motor and cam(which I designed my self) the motor runs smooth with a small hardly noticable lope tuns of low end torque mostly due to cam and lots of head work If I were to do it again I would go from 224@50 duration to somthing like 232@50 duration to build up the upper end torque. I hope my trials with the slant will help all
