After being torn down over two years ago to begin this project, the "Dartster" backed out of the shop under its own power, and with Aaron at the wheel, took a trip down the drive and back. Then, I took over and we made a little spin around the block (no hood, no glass  ) Don't know who was more excited, Aaron or me.

He really liked the sound of the slant running a straight pipe that dumped just behind the front seat. Tomorrow, I'm calling the muffler shop.

congrats jerry! I'm so happy for you guys, and I was thinking about you this weekend.

I was digging into my gas tank trying to find the sending unit problem (and found hell instead), but my son who is 15 months, was watching me from the 2nd story window of his room. The window was open so he was yelling out at me and watching me work in the driveway.

my wife brough him down ad he has his little toobox out and started "fixing" some parts I put farther down the driveway for him. It was hiliarious. He thing climbed into the front seeat, grabbed the steering wheel, and started working the turn signal up and down. Damn those forward facing seats...they kid already knows how to drive! :D

So I look forward to the day when he can sit and work with me.

congrats again!

Thanks, guys, it was a blast. I took a video I wish I could post, but I haven't figured out how to get it small enough in size. I'll keep working on it.

Lancer, it's you guys I envy, ones with the youngsters in their formative years. I wish I could have been doing this years ago, with both of my sons. Enjoy it while you can, they grow up way too fast.

Lou, I just wish I had some of you experts closer to me, so I could get some hands-on instruction.

Jerry just use a divx converter so that you can make that monster mpeg a lot smaller. Email me and we can do it. You'll need a place to host the file too.

yes the time has flown by, I can't believe he's already almost 1.5 years old. Hopefully we'll have time to work together. My Dad and I never really did much together car-wise. My grandfather was a super-mechanic, but had lost his vision by the time I was 10. He still would listen and tell my dad what was wrong my sound alone..it was cool. but i run on a tangent again.....
