I have a Day/Night mirror in my '63 Valiant that is in desparate need of re-coating. It appears the mirror is assembled with all the little parts that change it from Day to Night driveing and the assembly is installed in a stainless frame or holder and crimped. How does it come apart without breaking the glass? Regards, RMDV.

if you do manage to get it out of the holder, it can be resilvered, all the glass shops can either do it or send it out. Going rate is typically $1/sq.in. this includes the protective paint on the other side. They will charge you more for the stencil etching. That you may have to get done elsewhere.
