i was transporting a large box in the trunk and it would not shut so i wired it down. when i got home and put everything away i went and shut the trunk and thought nothing about it. the next day i went to open the trunk and the key just turns (no "click"). so, my question is: now i have to go thru the back seat, does the lock have a latch that i can use a screw driver on to release the trunk, or do i have to disassemble the whole thing? thanks.

Use a large-blade flat screw driver and it will pop right open.
Happen to have a fold-down rear seat? Otherwise, the cross-brace rear seat support is a bear to shinny between (find a small child).

the trunk lock broke. it took me about 1 1/2 hour to fix it so it would work. the dealership here can't help me with parts, do you guys know where i can get a new one? or should i just go to a locksmith? thanks!

my trunk wouldn't open either,

my brother sat on the trunk one day and i went to open it, popped right open

everytime i open it now i have to push down with one hand

Go to your nearest boneyard. They are very common among many years and many Chrysler products. Take your old one along to check the width between mounting bolts. Might even find one of those remote electric type with the button in the dash. That's what I am looking for.

When you have the battery in the trunk

Why is that? Unless you mean you have a battery disconnect, and there is no power to open the trunk.
